Kay Suzanne Barron, 78, of Caddo Mills, passed away on April 25, 2024 in Greenville, Texas. A funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 3, 2024, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Hayley Shotts. Interment will be in Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be 1:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
Kay was born September 12, 1945 in Elgin, Texas, to Glen Hilmer Carlson and Lula Grace King. She married Jimmie Eugene Barron on October 16, 1961 in Dallas, Texas. She was an accountant, homemaker and a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Kay loved spending time with her family. She had a quick wit and loved fiercely. She received joy from hosting family dinners followed by games with laughter by all. She adored her granddaughters and showed them constantly with cooking lessons, shopping trips and endless entertainment of Hot Wheels and Clue.
Kay and Jim moved to the family farm in 2010. She loved the peacefulness and serene life. She was deeply rooted in her faith and love of our Savior.
She is survived by her sons, James Keith Barron and wife, Gina, and Jeffrey Todd Barron; sisters, Carol Waldon and husband, Gerry, Glenda Piner, and Cathy Bradshaw and husband, Andy; grandchildren, Shelby Panzino and husband, Austin and Kaylie Barron; and great-grandchildren, Jemma and Jett Panzino.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and daughter-in-law, Terri Barron.
Pallbearers will be Steve Tacker, Jon Tacker, Jerry Waldon, Brad Yearwood, Bentley Wallace and Austin Panzino.
