Loreta Cunningham Cayce
March 1, 1935 - August 27, 2023
Loreta Cunningham Cayce, 88, was born on March 1, 1935, to Pauline Salter and William Madison Cunningham in Jacobia, TX. She passed from this life into the arms of Jesus Christ on August 27, 2023 in Garland.
She is preceded in death by her husband William (Bill) Cayce; oldest daughter, Rebecca Lynn Cayce, parents, her sister Lucille Clark; brothers H.B. Cunningham, Clarence Cunningham, Lester Cunningham and Don Cunningham; and sister Anita Johnston.
She is survived by her youngest daughter Kathleen (Kathy)Shannon, son-in-law John Shannon,
and grandsons Michael Shannon, Matthew Shannon, Marc Shannon, and Mitchell Shannon.
She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Loreta was loved by all who knew her. She was an active participant in Lakepointe Church in Rockwall, TX. Loreta volunteered in the Helping Hands Ministry and in Vacation Bible School. She also made many friends throughout the 22 years she participated in Women's Bible Studies.
A celebration of her life will be held at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel on 11:00 A.M., Thursday, September 7, 2023. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will be at Memoryland Memorial Park.
