Dorothy Delcore, 91 of Odessa, Texas, passed away on February 21, 2024, in Odessa, Texas. A graveside service will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Humboldt Cemetery with Mr. Michael Hyden officiating. Visitation will be 12:30 P.M. to 1:30 P.M. at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Mrs. Delcore was born January 21, 1933, in Neylandville, Texas to William Austin Ford and Fannie Jewel Steen. She married Harrell Lee Delcore in Rockwall, Texas on March 4, 1950. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant and Unit Clerk in ICU for 27 years at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas.
Dorothy liked to watch Wheel of Fortune. She liked country music and the old gospel songs and liked to cook and bake. She made many memories with her grandchildren and always loved being around family and cutting up with her sisters, brother, nieces and nephews. She loved talking to people. She attended church and Sunday School with her long time friend, Julia and they would take turns cooking meals and sharing them on regular basis.
She is survived by her son, Bobby H. Delcore and wife, Rhonda; daughter, Kathie Delcore Boyer; sister, Barbara Hott; grandchildren, Charaye Dickson and husband, Earl, Marian Delcore, and Dallas Delcore and wife, Tasha; along with eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1978, parents, grandson, Jeremy Lee Delcore, sisters, Ruth Morrow, Evelyn Murley, Jean Wells, Gladys Hyden and brother, Melvin Ford.
Pallbearers will be Dallas Delcore, James Murley, Brandon Hill, Justin Hill, Keenon Hill, and Tommy Boyer.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Delcore and Scott Morrow.
Her family would like to thank Sienna Nursing Home and Home Hospice of Odessa for their compassionate care of Mrs. Delcore.
