Mona Jo Trevino
February 25, 1949 - October 13, 2024

Mona Jo Trevino, 75, of Caddo Mills, Texas, passed away on October 13, 2024 in Greenville, Texas. A celebration of life will be 10:30 A.M., Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with The Reverend Keith Turbeville officiating.
Mona was born on February 25, 1949, in Dallas, Texas to Martin Lynn Switzer and Margie Ann Kennedy Switzer. She attended Lida Hooe Elementary School, Greiner Jr. High School, and graduated from Sunset High School in 1967. She worked at several places in accounting and marketing. She retired from Ericson Communication after 12 years.
She worked as a volunteer at the Sottish Rite Hospital for 5 years, helping treat pediatric children, she loved every moment there.
She married Albert Trevino on February 27, 1988 and they lived in Garland, Texas. She loved watching Albert's son, Jeff Trevino compete in different sporting events, including baseball and football games. She loved gardening, taking care of the yard, watching scary movies, going to concerts live music, and going to the Casinos in Oklahoma. We enjoyed going over to her mother's house almost every Sunday to enjoy one of her mother's great meals and visit with mother and grandmother.
Mona has a big heart, she loved her mother, Margie Ann Switzer and grandmother, Mimi, and sister, Denise and nephew, Tommy would also make an appearance. When the grandkids, Joey and Jaxon started growing up and coming around, she enjoyed watching all their activities. She loved going over to her son and daughter-in-laws house to enjoy one of Jeff's gourmet meals which were outstanding.
After retiring in 2015, in 2017, Albert and Monda bought a house in Caddo Mills close to the family ranch in Merit. She loved to help feed cows and fish at the ranch pond. She was the kind of person once you meet her, you will never forget her, she was just so kind, loving and generous.
She leaves behind her Husband, Albert Trevino, Son & daughter-in-law, Jeff Trevino & Cortney, Sister & brother-in-law, Denise Brannon & Gerald, Sister & brother-in-law, Margie Brewer & Morris, Brother & sister-in-law, Mike Trevino & Kathy, Brother-in-law, Vic Trevino, Grandchildren, Joey & Jaxon Trevino, Nephew- Tommy Kirk, and Grand-nephew, Brannon Symank.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SPCA of Texas, in Mona's memory.
We will miss her big heart, her loving arms, and beautiful smile. God bless you always, we will always be thinking of your dear heart.
