Emily Jane Dodds

Emily Jane Dodds, 83, of Greenville, Texas, passed away on March 17, 2025, at Greenville Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Rueben Gohn officiating. Burial will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Emily was born on May 28, 1941, in Little Rock, Arkansas to J. L. and Frances Blevins Dyson. She married Charles ''Chuck'' B. Dodds on September 19, 1965. in Lewisville, Arkansas. She worked in customer service and her faith was Pentecostal. She was a lifelong member of House of Prayer Church of Greenville and was their pianist.

Emily is survived by her daughter, Candace Brooks and husband, James of Plano; brother, James Dyson and wife, Barbara of Monticello, Arkansas; grandchildren, Christopher Dodds of Plano, Greyson Brooks and wife, Jacalyn of Graham, Washington.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son, Charles ''Chip'' B. Dodds, II.
