She was born October 9, 1935 to Roy L. Warren, Sr and Mary Addie Hewlett Warren in Greenville, TX. She graduated from Greenville High School in 1953. She married M.J.''Ham'' Hamilton on September 3, 1955 ,and they began their life together. They had three children who were her pride and joy along with five grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She ran a successful catering business for 30 years called Nancy Kate's Katering. She was a pillar of the community and took great pride in being from Greenville, Texas. She was a founding member of Aldersgate Church (Christ Community) and Greenville Christian School.
Nancy Kate was a shining light in the lives of all who knew her. Her journey here on earth was one marked by a compassionate and servant heart, a deep love for all her friends and family and an unwavering faith in Jesus. Her life and home were marked by that deep love she had for the Lord and out of that came her ministry of cooking. She not only used her joy of cooking to create a business, but she also used it to take care of people and love them like Jesus. For her, food was a means to minister and feed others in need physically and spiritually. Many friends and family from far and wide sat at her table and enjoyed a good meal, but mostly enjoyed a lot of laughs and good stories. She led a very busy life but always took time to care for others by preparing a meal made with love and going to visit them when they were sick or just needed a friend. She had a special way of making others feel loved.
Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family and friends and many more whose lives were touched by her. We ask that you remember her not for the way her life ended, but the way it was lived and the profound impact it had on so many lives.
She was preceded in death by her Husband of 45 years, Ham Hamilton, Daughter Cindy Hamilton, her Parents, Brother Kenneth Warren, Brother Roy. L Warren, Jr., and Sister Mary Alice Foster. She is survived by her son Hew Hamilton and wife Michelle of Greenville, Tx; Kari Kate Singleterry and husband Matt of Waco, Tx, grandchildren Joseph Barnett (Katie), Chance Hamilton (Nicole), Zachary Hamilton (Emalee), Lindsey Hawkins (Zac), Blake Singleterry (Emily), 4 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and cousins.
