Cynthia Carol (Cindy) Prather, 79, of Greenville, passed away on August 14, 2025, in Greenville, Texas. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, August 18, 2025, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Upchurch officiating. Visitation will be 10 A.M. until service time. Interment will be in Vansickle Cemetery.

Cindy was born on January 14, 1946, in Corpus Christi, Texas to Edward Howard Johnson and Helen Virginia Murray Johnson. She married Phil Allen Prather on August 22, 1970 in Greenville, Texas. She was a housewife and maintained their ranch. She was a member of Vansickle Baptist Church.

Cindy was a loving wife to Phil, mother to Todd, and Cece to her grandchildren, Tanner and Brylon and one of the sweetest souls to ever be fortunate enough to be loved by.

She is survived by her son, Todd Prather; grandchildren, Tanner Prather and Brylon Hill; brother, Doyle Johnson; nieces, Meredith Norton Lucas, Briana Stringer and Raven Price.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Phil Prather on May 18, 2025; her father, Howard Johnson and mother, Helen Johnson.

Pallbearers will be Brian Sims, Bill Sims, Steven Sims and Kody Crumpton.
