Leslie Edward Lindbeck
December 14, 1941 - August 19, 2025

Leslie Edward Lindbeck, age 83, passed away peacefully at his home in Greenville, Texas on August 19, 2025. Leslie was born on December 14, 1941 in Ely, Minnesota. After serving in the U.S. Army in Alaska, he moved to Dallas, Texas to work for LTV. His subtle dry sense of humor especially entertained his brother Bob, Bob's wife Joan and his 2 nieces Darcy and Robyn. He then worked for E-Systems which became L3 Harris where he worked for 51 years.

Leslie was an avid runner and won many trophies. He also had his private pilot's license and even flew to South Dakota to see his sister Martha. Every spring he helped a local Boy Scout troop get their aviation badges and he was an active volunteer with Junior Achievement.

He is survived by his sister Martha (Marty) Lindbeck, his brother-in-law Arlen Viste, and 5 nieces and nephews: Solveigh Viste in North Carolina, Mark Viste in Minnesota, David Viste in South Dakota and Darcy Schedler and Robyn Butler in Texas. He was a beloved uncle, co-worker, and friend.

He is preceded in death by his brother Robert (Bob) Lindbeck, his sister Elizabeth (Betty) Viste, his brother Calvin Lindbeck and his niece Valerie Wright.

The memorial service will be private. The family does not expect flowers or condolences. Donations may be made to the North Texas Food Bank.
