Jacob Aaron Vasquez, 38, of Campbell, Texas, passed away on November 22, 2025. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. until service time.
Jacob was born November 14, 1987 in Dallas, Texas to Elizabeth Allison Legal and Rudy Vasquez.
He is survived by his parents, Daryl and Elizabeth Freelen of Campbell and Rudy Vasquez of Allen. His fiance, Jeanette Williams, big brother Jason Vasquez and fiance Kara Colemon, little sister Kameron Freelen and fiance Kirk Burrell, his little brother Kason Freelen and wife Rebecca, and his best friend and truck bud, Kilo. He is also survived by his nephew, Gage Vasquez; nieces, Gabbie and Addison Vasquez, and Kaselyn Cooke, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and several friends who loved him.
He was preceded in death by Grandparents Jeff and Louise Jefferson; Felix and Porfillia Vasquez.
Jacob passed away leaving behind a legacy of hard work, adventure, and unwavering dedication to the people and passions he loved. A lifelong mechanic and skilled welder, Jacob had a talent for understanding how things worked and took pride in solving problems with his hands and his heart.
Outside the shop, Jacob found joy in the great outdoors. He was an avid kayaker and fisherman, and he cherished time spent hunting, camping, and exploring nature's quiet places. A natural athlete, he played softball for many years and even competed in semi-pro football, earning the respect of teammates and opponents alike.
Jacob was equally at home by the fire as he was on the field or the water. A true Texan pit master, he loved cooking for family and friends, bringing people together with the warmth of his food and his company. Those who knew him will forever remember his contagious smile, bright, genuine, and capable of lifting the spirits of anyone around him. Known for his loyalty, generosity, and larger-than-life spirit, Jacob lived with determination, humor, and a deep appreciation for simple, meaningful moments.
He will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him.
