Roland "Ron" Eugene Schneider

Roland Eugene Schneider Jr ''Ron'', 64, of Greenville, passed away on December 2, 2025 in Greenville, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, December 8, 2025 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim James officiating.

Ron was born on March 28, 1961 in Peoria, Illinois to Roland Eugene Schneider, Sr. and Wilma June "Judy" (Moore) Schneider. He worked as a diesel mechanic, a trade he mastered with natural skill, patience, and an unmatched work ethic. Ron could fix anything put in front of him, and he was always the first to step in if someone needed help.

Ron was a devoted father and grandfather, and nothing brought him more pride than his family. He loved bass fishing, tending to the farm, and spending time outdoors. Whether he was working with his hands, taking care of the land, or sitting with family swapping stories, he was happiest in the simple, meaningful moments.

Ron's gregarious spirit filled every room he walked into. He was quick-witted, funny, and had a way of saying exactly what people needed to hear, whether it was to make them laugh, feel understood, or get through a hard moment. He never met a stranger and was known for his loyalty, kindness, and steady presence.

Ron is survived by his wife, Deborah Kathryn Schneider; his children: Rachel (Rocky) Fryar, Ken McKinley, Trey (Misty) Schneider, Katie (Jason) Chury; and his surviving grandchildren: Kennedy Fryar, Abbye McKinley, Paige McKinley, Maddalyn Schneider, and Dalaney Schneider.

He is also survived by his siblings: Judy Kay (Harley) Eades, Michael (Janel) Schneider, and Theresa (Dave) McDonough.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland Eugene Schneider, Sr. and Wilma June "Judy" (Moore) Schneider.

Ron's absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him, but the laughter, love, and memories he shared will continue to live on in every life he touched.
