Mary Ruby Penrod, 97, of Greenville, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 in Greenville, Texas. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Wieland Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, April 24, 2026 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Penrod was born on March 3, 1929 in Hornbeck, Louisiana to Thomas Savell and Nancy Mae Eason. She married Marshall J. Penrod on March 3, 1952 in Louisiana. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Collier and husband, Ed; brother, Tim Savell and wife, Rebecca; sister, Rose Markham; grandchildren, Chuck Fain and wife, Suzanne, Chris Fain, John P. Penrod and wife, Kristin, Katie Bratsch and husband, Joel, Jared Penrod and wife, Emily, and Bridget Jordan and husband, Allen; eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her son, John Penrod, siblings, Romona Savell, Huey Peter Savell, Sam Savell, and Lucy Bell Savell.
