Gary L. Bowers, 71, of Greenville, Texas, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026 in Greenville, Texas. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M., Sunday, May 17, 2026 at Greenville Bible Church with Rev. Jim Corbet and Dr. Kelly Carr officiating. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Gary was born on April 10, 1955 in Greenville, Texas to Ray Lynn Bowers and Martha Unella Foster. He married Dyan Dees on August 18, 1972. He owned and operated Bowers Transmission and was a member of Greenville Bible Church.

He is survived by his wife, Dyan Bowers; daughter, Aimee Renee Cook; son, Gary Dayle Bowers; brothers, Bobby Bowers and Robby Bowers; grandchildren, Justin Bowers, Ryan Bowers, Maleah Bowers, Danielle DeGarso, Rachael Eldridge, Bethany Spradling, Tristian Bowers and Lilian Bowers; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Martha Bowers, and one sister, Pam Smith.
