Charlotte was born on December 25, 1946, in Greenville, Texas, to the late Ralph Houston Scroggins and Maggie Grace Cummings Scroggins. She married Samuel Lee Barrow on May 10, 1965, in Garland, Texas. Charlotte worked as a beautician, touching the lives of many through both her work and her kindness.

Her children, Darren and Michelle, were at the center of her world. Charlotte took great pride in them and in the lives they built. Darren, along with his wife, Jennifer, showed extraordinary love and devotion by building their home next door to Sam and Charlotte. That closeness meant Charlotte always had someone nearby to help, support, and simply be present whenever she needed anything.

Michelle's recent move back to Hunt County became an unexpected gift - the gift of time. Time to sit with her mother, to talk, laugh, and share moments that will now be cherished forever. That time together is irreplaceable. As always, God's timing is perfect.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Grace Scroggins; her brother, Scottie Scroggins; and her brother-in-law, Larry McClanahan and other beloved family members.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Sam Barrow; her sister, Delores McClanahan; her son, Darren Barrow and wife Jennifer Barrow; her daughter, Michelle Barrow Woodard; her grandchildren, Hailey Oliver and husband Jake Oliver, Preston Woodard, Hannah Luke and husband Jason Luke, and Garrett Woodard; and her great-granddaughter, Hattie Jane Oliver. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom loved her dearly.

Charlotte will be remembered for her love of life and the deep, steady love she gave so freely to others. Her unwavering devotion to her family will never be forgotten and will continue to serve as a ''playbook'' for the loved ones she leaves behind. She cherished her husband, Sam, in a way that was evident to everyone who knew them. Their marriage was built on devotion, faithfulness, and care. Sam was not only a constant source of support for Charlotte, but also her faithful provider and companion through every season of life. His love for her was steadfast and enduring, just as the memories of Charlotte will remain in the hearts of all who loved her.
