Clayton "Sonny" John Glaspy, Jr.
November 25, 1943 - July 20, 2026

Clayton ''Sonny'' John Glaspy, 82, of Greenville, Texas, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026 in McKinney, Texas. A memorial service will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 1, 2026 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Payne officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. until service time. A graveside will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, where Sonny and his wife, Sandra, who passed away in 2024, will be laid to rest together.

Sonny was born on November 25, 1943 in Handley, Texas to Clayton John Glaspy, Sr. and Robbie Nell Hearn. He married Sandra Sue Prince on November 22, 1963 in Greenville, Texas at Lamar Baptist Church. He worked as an auto parts manager and graduated from Greenville High School. He was a member of Honey Creek Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and taught Sunday School.

He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Nell Cunningham; grandchildren, Clayce Cunningham, Chase Cunningham and Chelsea Cunningham; his best friend Bill Jones 60 plus years of friendship; and the father of his grandchildren, who was just like a son to him, Clay Cunningham.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra on March 12, 2024, and his parents.
