Janet Ruth Gibson, 89, of Greenville, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 in Greenville, Texas. Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Forest Park Cemetery with Chaplain Mike Middlebrooks officiating.
Mrs. Gibson was born on December 19, 1936 in Colby, Kansas to Gene Webster Beery and Minerva Elizabeth Griggs Beery. She married Joe B. Gibson on June 1, 1956 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was the bookkeeper for their family business, Joe Gibson Automotive and was a member of First Baptist Church of Greenville.

She is survived by her brother, Ray Beery; niece, Barb Logue; daughter-in-law, Lori Gibson; grandchildren, Kyle Gibson and wife, Shaely, Stefani Gibson Maiwelmal and husband, Travis, Nicole Haynes and Sarah Williams; great-grandchildren, Gregory Bedford, Addison Bedford, Emma Bedford, Charlotte Bedford, Kathryn Bedford, Mason Haynes, Spencer Williams, Mackenzie Daniel; Tavin Maiwelmal, Hudson Maiwelmal, Case Gibson, and Allie Jo Gibson; along with many more nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe B. Gibson in 2019, sons, Gregory Gibson in 1979 and Brian Gibson in 2021, and daughter, Kathleen Williams-Mills in 2013; siblings, Alice, Gene, Wesley, Elizabeth and Jerry.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and Perfecto Perez.
