Arlee "A.E." Eugene Butler
April 6, 1960 - August 29, 2026
Arlee Eugene "A.E." Butler went home to Jesus on Saturday, August 29th, at the age of 66. He lived his life as a devoted Christian, son, husband, father, grandpa, brother, and friend to many. His family was his purpose in life, Jesus was his guide, love was his foundation.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 4, 2026 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Don Robinson officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 A.M. until service time. Interment will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.
A.E. is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 47 years, Linda, whom he married February 3rd, 1979. Together they lived a beautiful love story and raised three children: Melissa, Leah, and Aaron Arlee.
He is survived by his children, Melissa Siebenhausen and husband James, Leah Patterson and husband Drew, Aaron Butler and wife Mia, grandchildren Gryphon, Braylon, Phoenix, Leia, Jude, Wade Arlee, baby boy A Butler, baby boy B Butler, mother Peggy Butler, sister Tami Crawford and husband Mike, brother Wendell Butler and wife Rhonda, chosen Brother Gary Ogletree, and his beloved dogs Peaches and Ladybird.
AE was preceded in death by his father, Wendell Butler, and his grandchildren Hailey and Sweet Pea.
For 46 years, AE worked at Ogletree Custom Cabinets, honing his skills as a master carpenter and cabinet builder. He was a true Master Craftsman who could make dreams come to reality. If you could draw it he could build it. He built a beautiful home where he and Linda raised their family, making countless memories of love and laughter. He lived a simple life, enjoyed countless hobbies, and reminded his family that the small moments in life mean the most. On the hardest days, he could still find a way to make you laugh and smile, because that is who AE was.
Those who knew AE will remember him for his witty personality, smile, joy, and love for others. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished by his friends and family. The legacy he built will live on through his children and grandchildren for generations to come.
