Mary "MiMi" Margaret Hensley

Mary Margaret ''Mimi'' Palmer Hensley, 79, of East Tawakoni, Texas, passed away on September 5, 2026 at Hunt Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home, officiated by Rydell Martin. There will be a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. at Liberty Cemetery in Martins Mills, Texas. Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. until service time.

Mimi was born August 10, 1947, in Jacksonville, Texas to Orman and Virginia Kate Ford Palmer. She married Eric Hensley on September 15, 1986, in Dallas, Texas. She worked in education as a speech therapist and was of the Episcopalian faith. Mimi enjoyed gardening, literature, poetry, politics, and art. She was an avid watercolor painter, and after retiring she opened her own art studio where she shared her joy of painting with others.

Mimi is survived by her husband, Eric Hensley; daughter, Gina Byrum and husband, Elmer; grandson, Russell Byrum and wife, Sarah.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and by her brothers Rusty Palmer and Melvin Palmer.
