Bobby Dean Brackett, 81, of Lone Oak, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026 in Lone Oak. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, September 17, 2026 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James Ralson officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Mills Cemetery in Garland, Texas. Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M, Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at the funeral home.

Bobby was born on July 27, 1945 in Bonham, Texas to Robert Dee Brackett and Alberta Louise Bangs. He married Joyce Ruth Rice on February 3, 1967. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Rockwall.

Bobby will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but his memory will live on through the stories he told, the memories he created, and the lives of family he loved so dearly.

He is survived by his sons, Robert Dale Brackett and wife, Amanda, and Stephen Dean Brackett; and his daughter Theresa Kay Griffith; grandchildren Meagan and Alex Griffith, Erin and Morgan Root, Aidan and Madison Brackett, Joshua and Ryan Brackett; great-grand children Kalleigh and Autumn Brackett. Two sisters Glenda Knight and Martha Stewart and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Brackett on September 3, 2024, his brother Roger Brackett, and his parents Robert and Louise Brackett.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Rice, Aidan Brackett, Ronnie Stovall, Tim Knight, Alex Griffith and Joshua Brackett
