William "Bill" Whitehead, III
December 18, 1940 - September 17, 2026

William T. ''Bill'' Whitehead, III, 85, of Greenville, Texas, passed away on September 17, 2026. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Williams Catholic Church, 4300 Stuart St., Greenville, Texas. A rosary will be at 9:30 a.m. until the service, with Father Javier Diaz officiating. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Bill was born in Chicago, Illinois to William and Jane Stewart Whitehead. He served 20 years in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam Vet. After his military retirement, he moved to Greenville and began his second career of 33 years at E-Systems, Raytheon and L-3. After his second retirement, he engaged in volunteer services with various organizations: St. Williams Catholic Church; Hunt Regional Medical Center; CASA; GCPAAA; Keep Greenville Beautiful; and Drug Free Grenville.

Left to honor his memory is his wife, Sharon Whitehead; sons, Billy Whitehead, Glen Mitchell, Randy Flores, Clint Flores; daughter, Charlotte Whitehead; 30 grandchildren; brother, Scott Whitehead and wife, Susan.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

The family wants to thank the staff at Family First Hospice and Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab for the loving and compassionate care Bill received while under their care.
