Linda Ann Black
October 25, 1955 - September 25, 2026

Linda Ann Black, 70, of Greenville, Texas, passed away Friday, September 25, 2026, in her home after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. The family will have a private service at a later date, following Linda's wishes. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was a graduate of Greenville High School in 1974 and East Texas State University with a bachelor's degree in 1978 and then obtained her master's degree in education. She taught for 39 years in Greenville and Caddo Mills School districts. She was a Christian and of the Baptist faith.

Linda is survived by her husband of 51 years, Lynn Black; sons, Danny Black, Randy Black and wife, Genny; brother, Reece Booher and wife, Denise: grandchildren, Jett, Rowan, Hayes and Beckett Black; brother-in-law, Glynn Black and wife Becky, sister-in-law, Christie Sponsel and husband Tom; Cousin, Sharon and Augie Gomez; along with several nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, M. T and Tommie Booher and in-laws, Jean and Larry Black.

The family would like to give special thanks to Family First Hospice for the exceptional care and love they provided.
