Rhonda Nanette Overman, 61, of Cumby, passed away on December 29, 2022, in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Tommy Morgan officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home.

Rhonda was born May 19, 1961, in Wichita Falls, Texas to Robert Allen Ray and Christie Lee. She was a 1979 graduate of Big Spring High School, while in school she was very active in band and loved music. She married Brent Overman on October 25, 1980, in Big Spring, Texas. While raising her children she attended UTPB and graduated in 1990. She was a teacher for 17 years at Garland ISD and 12 years at Commerce ISD. She loved her students and was a very devoted and inspiring teacher. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by so many.

She is survived by her husband, Brent Overman; sons, Chance Overman and wife Jenniffer, Chad Overman and wife, Jessica, and Christopher Overman; parents, Robert and Christie Ray; brother, Russell Ray and wife, Cheryl; sister-in-law, Leslye Mitchell and husband, David; grandchildren, Genevieve Overman and Gemma Overman; and mother-in-law, Jane Overman.

Pallbearers will be Austin Ray, Matthew Mitchell, Tommy Mitchell, David Mitchell, Bruce Burleson, and Alan Smith.

Memorials may be made to St. Judes Children's Hospital.
