Jimmy was born July 31, 1953, in Dallas, Texas to RC Ottwell and Sylvia Mae Sims. He married Sandra Nix on April 25, 1997, in Greenville, Texas. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and proudly served his country. He farmed and worked in the plumbing industry from his early childhood throughout his life. He was a man of faith and was a member of Battle Axe Church of Christ. He loved spending time with his family and being outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Ottwell; sons, Matt Ottwell and wife Lauren, Jordan Ottwell and wife Nicole, and Heath Haney and wife Ginger; daughter, Andi Moore; sisters, Judy Durrett and Jannie Ottwell Busby; brother, RC Ottwell, Jr.; grandchildren, Caitlin Workman, Cash Ottwell, Jackson Ottwell, Savannah Haney, Wyatt Haney, Vance Ottwell, Gage Ottwell, Garrett Haney, Jett Ottwell, and Jase ''Bob'' Ottwell; and his best buddy, Willy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, RC and Sylvia Ottwell.
Pallbearers will be Matt Ottwell, Jordan Ottwell, Heath Haney, Cash Ottwell, Jackson Ottwell, Kerry Voyles, and Kurtis Calender. Honorary pallbearers will include Vance Ottwell, Gage Ottwell, Jett Ottwell, Jace "Bob" Ottwell, Wyatt Haney, and Garrett Haney.
