Born 2/10/1954 to Royce and Connie Collins, Sandi is the second of five sisters. Sandi worked as a Sales and Catering Manager in the Hotel & Restaurant industry for most of her career. She was able to travel to Paris France, Hong Kong and many other places in her career.
Sandi resided for over a decade in Los Angeles California where she loved to perform in the Arts. Sandi performed in Plays including (''The Point''), Music Recordings (''Johnny Mathis Christmas Special CD'') and as a Nurse in a scene of (''Twin Peaks''), she loved acting and living in the Los Angeles area.
In her later years, Sandi moved to Greenville to be close to her family. Sandi worked with children in foster care as a provider and caretaker ''Ms. Sandi'' was loved by all. Sandi also loved to create necklaces and bracelets for her family and friends. Sandi had a very kind and caring spirit, always lifting others up during times of hardship and loss. Sandi was a human rights advocate and worked on LGBTQ, DACA and other human rights issues.
Sandi leaves behind one son, Gary Collins and family, John Gault, and Pablo Reyes Lara. Her sisters: Lois Diggs and spouse Larry Diggs, Janie Reisor, Susan Gray and spouse Dennis Gray and many nieces and nephews who loved her funny since of humor, antics and just over the top personality and funniness. Sandi was preceded in death by her sister Amy Collins Watson on December 2022, her mother Connie Collins Adam, February 2020, her father Royce Collins, June 1986, and grandparents, aunts, uncles, and nephew.
A celebration of life will take place Sunday June 11, 2023 at 2 PM in the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow the service at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time Sunday.
