She was born on October 19, 1951, in Humansville, Missouri to Frank Haines and Hazel O'Conner Haines. Kathy was a strong woman of faith, who loved her family dearly. She spent over 20 years as a Communications Officer and retired with the Hunt County Sheriff's Office.
Kathy was an avid genealogist and enjoyed researching her family history. She also loved making crafts and giving them away as gifts. Her family and friends will always remember her kind and generous spirit.
Kathy is survived by her daughters, Angie Webb and husband Wylie of Tyler, TX, and Dedra Bates and husband, Darrell of Crowell, TX; son, Kenneth Tapp of Garland, Tx; granddaughter, Makayla Cockrell and husband, James of Farmersville, Tx; brothers, Jeff Haines and wife, Amanda, and Rex Haines and wife, Kay; granddaughter, Morgan Webb of Tyler, Tx; grandson, Amos Bates of Crowell, Tx; great-grandchildren, Bentley, Lilly, and Paul of Farmersville, Tx; niece, Rikki Haines & Her children, Aaron Haines & Angela Glindomrong.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Tapp, parents, Frank and Hazel Haines, daughter, Kristi Wade, and her brother, Randy Haines.
