Baltimore, MD Sunday, September 3, 2023 I don't have the words to adequately express how special she was. I have countless memories of the time I spent with her as a little girl. She made the best banana nut bread I have ever eaten. She was very important part of my life, and I am a better person because I knew her. My deepest sympathies go to the family especially her daughters. I am sorry I can't be there in person. I am thinking of you and your families during this time. I hope this time is not too difficult for you and that you can celebrate her life.

Ithaca, NY Saturday, September 2, 2023 Della and your family were very special to me when I met with the small group of friends on Sunday mornings, known as Greenville Bible Church. Della was a super encourager, an amazing cook, and always arranged for generous hospitality for me and others. We maintained our friendship over the decades and i particularly loved her written letters where she reflected on her past and always included a favorite hymn. A very special lady! Blessings and love to you all!Lee Ann Baker

Greenville, TX Friday, September 1, 2023 I’ve always said Della was a saint on earth. I loved being in her house growing up. She always had great smells coming from the kitchen. She was the most tender, kind hearted woman I’ve ever met. I’m so thankful you had her for 97 years, I know she has instilled values, like no other, she will be greatly missed until we see her again. I know the angels are singing and dancing as she’s baking some of her goodies in the kitchen. Love SherriJim and Elena Hardaway
