Brenda was known by many friends around town as ''BK''. She loved horses, trail riding, and George Strait. Brenda worked for Super 1 foods and Brookshire's for many years. She was a member of the Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church.
Brenda was survived by her husband, Leo Hill; son, James Shields and his wife, Tammy of Caddo Mills, TX; daughter, Charlene Stankiewicz and her spouse, Reshia of Grand Prairie, TX; grandchildren, Tyler and Stephanie Shields, Patrick and Jaxen Aguayo; great grandchildren, Landon and Brielle Shields; and her sisters, Arlene Bearden and Linda Holbert.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Lorease Johnson; sisters, Jean Perkins, Sue King and Joyce ''Tiny'' Woods; her son, Douglas Shields; and her grandson, Matthew Shields.
A memorial service will be held on 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jeff Bethard officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. until service time.
