Jesse was born on December 12, 1932, in Amarillo, Texas to Willie Clinton Conger, Sr., and Bessie Mae Reagan Conger. Jesse married Dorothy Jarrett on March 21, 1953, in Clayton, New Mexico. Jesse was a heavy equipment operator and construction superintendent for Hodges and Son for 42 years. Jesse loved spending time with his family, with campouts being his favorite. He also loved woodworking and making gifts for his family.
Jesse is survived by his sons Wayne Conger and wife Debbie, David Conger and wife Earlene, Allen Conger and wife JoAnn, and daughters Beth Smith and husband Charley, Susan Gilbert. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren, twelve great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild.
Jesse is preceded in death by his wife, parents, daughters Lucy Koon and Esther Birth, five brothers and three sisters.
Pallbearers will be Jesse's grandsons.
