The family soon moved to Wolfe City, Texas where he attended school. Michael excelled in tennis and played for Grayson Junior College after graduation. He then enlisted in the Army, fall of 1987. After an honorable discharge in 1989, he attended East State Texas University and belonged to the Sigma Chi fraternity. His interest in photography and film led him to L.A. where he honed his cinematography skills while working on several movies &TV shows, including Superman, Spiderwick Chronicles, and Monk. He received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of North Texas and instilled his love for Cinematography in many of his students. The highlight of his career was co-producing "Technically Crazy", which is still available on several plat forms. Michael was a devoted friend, with an easy smile and great sense of humor.
He is preceded in death by his father, Hal Mullins.

During his early years in Wolfe City.
I remember the last time I saw him I was subbing at a local elementary school and he and a friend came by to show his friends children a super bowl ring.
He still had that special smile. Rest In Peace, Michael, until we meet again.

Grand Prairie, TX Saturday, September 14, 2024 Mike and I were both stationed at Ft Carson, CO at the same time in different units. We never ran across each other there but finally got to meet at a Sigma Chi event when we were both at ETSU after we each got out. Proud to call him both a brother soldier and fraternity brother.Dr. Shaun Treat
