Doris R. Smith, 96, of Greenville, Texas, passed away October 16, 2024, at Gracious Community Homes in Greenville. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home, with Dr. James Ralson officiating.
Doris was born May 2, 1928 in Greenville, Texas, to George Taylor and Dorothea Williams Riley. She married Perry M. Smith, Sr. on September 22, 1948 in Greenville, Texas. She was a realtor and homemaker.
Doris is survived by her children, George Riley Smith, Ina Kay Moore, Susie Erickson; grandchildren, Eric Smith, Vance Smith, Kendrick Smith, Taylor Erickson, Alex Hernandez, Elizabeth Erickson, Austin Smith, Connor Smith and Tatum Smith.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son, Perry M. Smith, Jr.;
Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Stee, Larry Butler, Eric Smith, Vance Smith, Kendrick Smith, Taylor Erickson, Austin Smith and Connor Smith.
