Sylvia Edna McGee, 84, formerly of Ladonia, passed away on November 7, 2024, in Dallas surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday November 14, 2024, at Cross Trails Cowboy Church in Fairlie with Pastor Oliver Mowat officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, Thursday at the church. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.

Sylvia was born on December 2, 1939, in Kaufman County to Bonnie Doyle George and Minerva Belle Duty George. Sylvia married the love of her life Carl Edward McGee on August 16, 1957, in Dallas, Texas. Sylvia was a real estate broker and the owner and operator of The Garden Center in Greenville. Sylvia loved spending time working on their ranch, and spending time with her family. Sylvia was a member of Cross Trails Cowboy Church in Fairlie, and Presbyterian Village North Dallas.

Sylvia is survived by her loving husband, Carl McGee of Dallas, formerly of Ladonia, son, Michael McGee and wife, Amanda of Ladonia, daughter, Carla McGee and Ilene Smoger of Dallas, brother, David George and wife, Donna of Allen, sister, Etheline Martin of Camdenton, Missouri, and grandson, Stern McGee of Austin.

Sylvia is preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Dalton McGee and wife, Alyssa, brothers, Doyle George and Johnny Earl George, sisters, Louise Lindsey and Rachel McSparrin.

In lieu of flowers family request donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Shriners Children in memory of Sylvia McGee.

    Please accept our sincere condolences for the loss of your beautiful wife and mother. We will always hold in our hearts our happy, funny and kind memories of Sylvia while we shopped at the Garden Center. Coming there was so very special to us. Hang in there "Holeman" and thank you Mike for all the help and information you were always handy with. Wonderful memories! We miss all you guys and are so very thankful the Lord gave us the chance to know Sylvia. She and Holeman were wonderful together. May our Lord bless and keep you all during this difficult time.
