Ricky Lyn McGuffey of Greenville, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the age of 68 years.

Ricky was born on October 25, 1956, in Greenville, Texas, to Thomas Newell McGuffey and Jo Glen McGuffey. He married Cindy Seaman on June 10, 2005, in Greenville, Texas, where they have shared 19 years of devoted marriage at their country home in Jacobia, Texas.

Ricky retired from L-3 on August 31, 2020, after 34 ½ years of service. He spent his time working around the house, gardening, and just enjoying the outdoors.

Ricky is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerry McGuffey and sister, Nancy Medlin.

Ricky is survived by his wife, Cindy McGuffey of Greenville; children, Joshua McGuffey of Greenville, Brandon Deaton and wife, Khristy of Rockwall, Brandeis Pierce and husband, Nathan of Greenville; sister, Hope Ann Moore and husband, Mitch of Greenville; nephews, Clint Moore of Greenville, Garrett Moore and wife, Ashleigh of Rockwall; grandchildren, Christopher Stephens, Kyle Pierce, Kolten Pierce and Kirra Pierce.

A memorial visitation is scheduled for Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made in his memory to Carter Blood Care.
