Born on December 23, 1948, in Dallas County, Texas, Bob was the son of Loys and Reba Scott. He grew up on the family farm near Wolfe City alongside his brother, Jim, before the family relocated to Paris, Texas. Bob graduated from Paris High School and continued his education at East Texas State University, earning his undergraduate degree, before completing his legal studies at Texas Tech University Law School.
A dedicated attorney, Bob served the Greenville community for over four decades, leaving an indelible mark through his professionalism and commitment to justice.
Bob found joy in connecting with others and relished time outdoors. Whether working on his tractor, exploring nature, or relaxing at his secluded cabin in the Arkansas woods, he embraced life with passion and purpose.
Bob is survived by his son, Steven Scott, and his wife, April, along with their three children, Caden, Jace, and Lyric. He is also survived by his grandson Camden Scott, the son of his late son, David Scott.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jim, and his son, David.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association in Bob's memory to honor his life and legacy. Donations can be made at act.alz.org (https://act.alz.org/).
Bob will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and the deep connections he fostered throughout his life. His presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Commerce, TX Sunday, January 12, 2025 To Bob's family and coworkers, I am so very sorry.I will always remember Bob as such a brilliant man and attorney! It was always a thrill for me to watch him work and to see his mind in action. We had fun times working as well as playing together at the lake. I was so saddened when I heard of his diagnosis with Alzhiemer's, such a devastating disease that knows no boundaries. Rest in peace, my friend, fly high with the angels!!!

Falmore, Sunday, January 12, 2025 Bob was a brilliant man and a gifted attorney. No man was a better adviser, a better and more loyal friend or a more dedicated and caring father than the Bob that I knew in what can only be described as his best self and his best life. He loved his sons, his grandchildren and all of his family and he was a steadfast, loyal and supportive friend. I am very proud to have been counted among his friends and it is with great sorrow that I learned of his passing. He was a good man. God Bless his memory and his family.Leon Boulton
