Imogene (Jean) Luckett McQueary passed away Monday, January 20, 2025, in Fairlie, Texas. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 24th at 11:00 AM at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Blair officiating. Burial will follow at Sonora Cemetery in Fairlie. Family visitation will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, one hour prior to service.
Jean was born October 21, 1933, in Point, Texas to Esther Irene Cupp Luckett and Odie Edward Luckett. She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Second McQueary; parents; brothers, Doyce Edward Luckett and George Allen Luckett; sisters, Maudell Luckett Arey and Irene Luckett Patterson; and nephew, Terry Luckett.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Pamela McQueary Wright and husband Randy; sons, Paul Travis McQueary and wife Kay, Philip Don McQueary and wife Tracy, and Truett Patrick McQueary; grandsons, Justin Paul McQueary and wife Carrie, Aaron Joe Wright, and Eric Don Wright and wife Bree; granddaughters, Jodi Lynn McQueary, Abby McQueary Rodgers and husband Eric, and Macy McQueary Cockrill and husband Steven; two great-grandsons Aiden McQueary and Hayes Wright; and six great-granddaughters , Averie McQueary, Nora Wright, Hallie Wright, Ellie Wright, Lillian Rodgers, and Sophia Rodgers; brother, Harold D. Luckett and wife Pat; nieces and nephews, Linda Luckett Liston, Amy Leigh Luckett Manning and husband Randy, Alicia Luckett Hulsey and husband Gregg, Belinda Luckett Benson and husband Michael, Vickie Luckett Bishop and husband Carl, Charlotte Willis and husband Chris, Jamie McGowan and husband Johnny, Sharon Havard and husband Randy, Dena Luckett Cox, Bryan Luckett and wife Loretta, Donna Ray and husband Richard, Mike McQueary and wife Karen, Hope Moore and husband Mitch, and 14 great-nieces and great-nephews.
Jean and her husband, Second and have been faithful members of Fairlie Baptist Church since 1964. She was also HR supervisor for Sherwood Medical Company in Commerce, Texas for 20 years.
Pallbearers will be Justin McQueary, Aaron Wright, Eric Wright, Steven Cockrill, Eric Rodgers and Aiden McQueary.
