Saturday February 15, 2025, in the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Mr. Gary Hurse officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Saturday, February 15.
Thomas was born on April 13, 1953, in Fort Worth, Texas to Barbara Bland Wrenn and Clyde Wrenn. During his younger years, Thomas' family moved to Greenville where he graduated from Greenville High School. After graduation he joined the United States Navy and spent four years in Meridian, Mississippi. Thomas married the love of his life Myra Hurse on June 18, 1976. After a long career at the Post Office, he retired in 2014, to spend time with his family. Thomas was so proud of his sons, and he enjoyed spending as much time with them as he could. Thomas was a member of the New Beginnings Church.
Thomas enjoyed all types of sports, and especially loved fishing with his best friend Jay Petty. Jay has always been there for Thomas and has been such a good and dear friend. Thomas enjoyed the visits from all his postal friends, and they were always good to come by and check on him.
Thomas is survived by his wife Myra Wrenn, two sons Jason Wrenn and Benjamin Wrenn, sister Debbie Young and husband Tom, brothers and sisters in law Gary Hurse and wife Virginia, Jeff Hurse and wife Judy, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents; Clyde and Barbara Wrenn, grandparents; Virgil and Lela Bland and Clifton and Snow Wrenn.
Thomas will be deeply missed and will be remembered for his keen sense of humor and his kindness.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to: New Beginnings Church, 6407 Sayle St., Greenville, Texas, 75402, in memory of Thomas Wrenn.

  1. Fred McCorkle
My name is Fred McCorkle. I am extremely sorry for your loss. Thomas and I went into the Navy on the buddy plan. After a week in Orlando, we never saw each other again. He was a great guy. I went to A School then was stationed at NAS Oceans in Va. Beach and married a girl from N. J. and moved there after getting out. I believe Thomas was trying to get into the CBs. I will pray for the Wrenn Family and may God Bless you all.
