Sarah was born July 21, 1938, in Caddo Mills, Texas to Otis ''Toad'' Nesbitt and Nava Jo "Jodie" Nesbitt. She married her high school sweetheart Hurley Jenkins on July 19, 1957, in Caddo Mills, Texas. Whether it was in the Beaumont, Anchorage Alaska, Dallas, Saudi Arabia, or Caddo Mills, Sarah always made the house they lived in, a loving home.
Sarah was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone she met. She cherished her precious time with her grandchildren, always finding joy in everything they did. She also loved spending time and catching up with her close friends.
Sarah was the heart of our small family. Her home was always a welcome gathering place for family and friends alike on holidays and special occasions.
She loved to travel. There wasn't a beachside cabana she didn't love, and the bright lights and Broadway shows of New York City were an all time favorite of this small-town girl.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Jenkins, and his wife, Laken; her grandchildren, Jaxon and Ariyah; and her son, Joe Russell Jenkins.
She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, compassion, and adventure will live on in the hearts of all who knew you.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and granddaughter, Jessica.
Pallbearers will be Mark Christopher, Keith Farr, Clay Jenkins, Jeff Johnson, Danny Payne, and Dusty Payne.

As Jaxon's Nana, I am thankful for Sarah's love for our mutual grandson. I will always remember her asking,"Whatever did we do before Jaxon?" ❤️Janie Barnhardt
