William "Bill" Glenn Duran

William Glenn "Bill" Duran, 66, of Greenville, Texas passed away on May 9, 2025.A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 19 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel in Greenville, Texas, where family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate Bill's remarkable life. Mr. Nate Allison and Mr. Kevin James will officiate.

Bill was born on May 31, 1958 to Glenn Travis Duran and Pebble Jean Sparks Duran. He lived a life rooted in service, love and laughter, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by many.

Bill was a dedicated professional, serving as the former director of maintenance for Greenville Independent School District and later as the proud owner of Duran Heat and Air. Known for his reliability and work ethic, he built a reputation of excellence and trust within his community.
Outside of work, Bill was a craft beer connoisseur and an avid firearms enthusiast. He was also a devoted family man, a loving husband, father, brother and "Papa" who found his greatest joy in time spent with his loved ones.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Duran; his daughter, Sarah Allison and husband Nate Allison; his son, Taylor Duran and wife Brooke Duran; his six grandchildren, Carter, Kai, Ryker, Ryland, Rynlee, and Rory; Mother-in-Law Gladys Arnwine. He also leaves behind his sister, Jan Rosenbalm and husband Jim Rosenbalm; his brother, Kevin James and wife Shannon James; brother-in-law, Ralph Dunton and wife Meloney Dunton; brother-in-law, Jeff Arnwine and Jessica Arnwine; nieces and nephews, Breanna Brantley, Brady Rosenbalm, Chris Arnwine, Madeline Dunton, Hailey Alexander, Abby Arnwine, Isaac James, and Anna James; grand-nieces and nephews, Trysten Strawn, Dakotah Strawn, MacKenzie Rosenbalm, Brooklenn Strawn, Ace Alexander, and Lilly Arnwine; and numerous close friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Pebble Jean Sparks Duran James, and his father, Glenn Travis Duran.
