For 50 years, Mike worked as a school picture photographer, traveling across the state of Texas to capture memories for countless families and students. He was also a devoted Mason for over 51 years and served his community as Vice-Chairman of the Housing Authority Board.
Mike found joy in the simple pleasures of lifeā"fishing, hunting, and the company of good friends. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, unwavering loyalty, and the warmth he shared with everyone he met.
He was married to Trish Cozart King for 54 years and is survived by his wife; his daughters, Kris Ann Clark and husband Daniel, and Katy King Wallace; and his cherished grandchildren, McClaine Clark, Brooks Clark, and Bentley Wallace. He is also survived by his brother, Dick King, and wife Linda, and his niece, Jessica McDaniel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Janice King.
Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the First United Methodist Church in Commerce, Texas, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Reverend Cheryl Murry is officiating. Burial will take place at Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville, Texas. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangments.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Clark, Brooks Clark, Daniel Henry, Robert Cozart, Jr., Rob Cozart and Will Cozart.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wyman Williams, Alvis Alderman, Dennis Anderson, Bob Barnard, Chris Moser and Kent Holbert.
Mike's family and friends will forever cherish his love, laughter, and the countless memories he created with all who knew him.
