He was born on December 11, 1938, in Hunt County, Texas, the son of Willie Fleming Little
and Sibyl Theo Hancock Little. On September 4, 1959, Glen married Barbara Jane Nickols in Dallas, Texas.
This year, they celebrated 66 years of marriage, a relationship that began with a blind date set up by a friend of Barbara's.
Glen and Barbara raised four children, their family growing to include grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Glen's career as an elevator service technician began with Westinghouse Elevator, later becoming Schindler Elevator, where he was a dedicated employee for 30 years, retiring March 31, 1994 at the age of 55. In addition to his work with Westinghouse, Glen enjoyed earning income through automotive repair, paint and bodywork, hay production, raising cattle, buying, leasing and selling properties, opening a commercial tire repair shop, and pursuing various other endeavors.
Glen was a faithful member of Creekside Church of Christ in Greenville, Texas. He participated in many church activities, giving of his time and resources in service to the Lord and those in need.
Glen is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughter Terri and her husband David Cowart;
daughter Susie and husband John Orndorff; sons Jay and Jimmy; grandchildren Nick Little, Leslie Bayman, Lance Bayman, Ashley White, Leslie Marie Whitehurst, and Tracie Shaw, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Glen will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
A memorial service in honor of Glen's life is scheduled for September 27th; details are forthcoming.
