Vicki was born on January 7, 1973 in Dallas, Texas to Richard Purvis and Charlotte Embry. She was raised in a loving home by her mother and stepfather Herman Embry. While Vicki had many jobs throughout her time here on earth, the one she valued and loved most was her time working as a nurse doing home health. What Vicki cherished most in her life was her family. No matter who Vicki met, they were never strangers for long, she loved with her whole heart, caring deeply for everyone around her.
She is survived by her loving son Brenton Purvis and wife, Camryn; sister, Lori Withrow; nephew, Bennie Withrow IV; nieces, Kelli Withrow and Krystal Bailey; great nephews, Cameron Withrow, Noah Withrow, and Liam Gray; great nieces, Grace Bailey and Trinity Bailey, many cousins, and extended family who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Purvis; stepfather, Herman Embry; mother, Charlotte Embry; brother, Robert Purvis; and brother-in-law, Bennie Withrow III.

Mabank, TX Wednesday, November 12, 2025 My dearest friend! We met in 6th grade. We had Babies together in June 1998. Though our paths in life took us in different directions, you were always in my heart. I know I will see you again in paradise when you will be restored to perfect health. You are sorely missed by many. You have always been full of love. You are the kindest and most generous person. Love you. Until we meet again🩷Jennifer Cross (Purvis)
Elkhart, TX Tuesday, October 21, 2025 Dearest Vicki,We were friends as kids literally living across the breezeway from one another. I never dreamed we would 1 day be Sisters by marriage. When I married your brother I gained you & Lori as Sisters and Bennie as a big brother figure. Never once even after your brother & I divorced did you for a second wish me ill will. Of course even before I moved to Louisiana you were Always there whenever I called. No matter what or When! You will Never know how much I appreciated you & your Loving Kindness towards me. That's why we knew it was Safe & Okay when we would meet up at Hershels so that you could see Krystal.
I always thought that I would go before you with my health issues, this seems so darn unfair!
I Love You and I hope that you are Resting Easier Up there with your big brothers Robert, Bennie, and your Momma & "Red"!
Love, Jennifer
P.S. I Hope Your Dancing In Heaven
