Emogene Pierce, 90, of Commerce, passed away on November 3, 2025, in Cooper, Texas. A graveside service will be 9:30 A.M., Monday, November 10, 2025 at D/FW National Cemetery with Rev. David Johnson officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, November 9, 2025 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.

Emogene was born April 12, 1935 in Point, Texas to Milton Schley Porter and Ethel Lyndell Oler Porter. She married W.T. ''Bill'' Pierce on June 10, 1954 in Lamesa, Texas. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Lamesa Press Reporter.

Emogene is survived by two sons, Wayne Pierce (wife Cindy) of Commerce, Tx. Clay Pierce (wife Kay) of Corinth, Tx. Four grandchildren, Margaret London, Donna Speights, Cody Pierce and Kelsey Pierce, three great grandchildren, Adley, Emma and Sergio and numerous nieces and nephews.

Emogene was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bill, her parents Milton and Ethel, Siblings Richard Porter, Grady Porter, Billy Buster Porter, Tommy Porter, Kenneth Porter, Irene Carter, Virginia Erwin and Joanne Morris.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Pierce and Kyle London.

The family would like to thank the staff at Birchwood Nursing and Rehab and Dr. Tom Selvaggi for their care and loving kindness they extended to our mother and family.
