James Jones

James Merral Jones, 64, of Greenville, passed away on October 30, 2025, in Greenville, Texas. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

James was born on January 13, 1961, in Dallas, Texas to Nita Draughty. He married Linda Kay Minter on February 14, 1998, in Rockwall, Texas. He worked as a welder.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Jones; daughter, Jenica Jones - Shockey and Arthur Shockey, son, Jensen Jones and wife, Marty Jones; brother, Jimmy Earl Jones, Sr.; brother-in-law, Terry Shirley; sisters-in-law, Louise Richter and Jennifer Shirley; and many nieces and nephews and grandkids. He was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed!

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nita Droddy; grandmother, Eunice Newsom; grandfather, Roy Newsom; uncles, Billy Droddy, George Doyle; aunt, Evelyn and Al Calvert; brother, George Ramsey Jr.; and son, Michael Lowery
