Doyle was raised in Greenville in a close-knit family and carried those values into every part of his life. He was married to Yvette Bearding-Hudson on June 18, 1976. He worked at Sears for 17 years and formed lifelong friendships with coworkers and customers. He started long hard driving for Sears and reached 1 Million Miles. He purchased his own truck and was an owner operator for James Helwig & Sons, also reaching 1 Million Miles while with James Helwig & Son. Then went to work for a Roadway/Yellow, he was with them 18 years and reached 2 Million Miles. After Yellow closed, he found XPO and had worked there almost 2 years. He loved over the road driving and had driven to all 48 continental states and Canada. Doyle enjoyed hands-on projects, was a gun enthusiast and lifelong hunter, and treasured time spent with family and friends sharing stories and laughter.
Doyle was preceded in death by his son, Taylor Colby Hudson, parents, his brothers, David Hudson and Knighton. Hudson; and his great nephew, Dusty Brock.
He is survived by his wife, Yvette Bearding-Hudson, and his twin grandsons, Preston Hudson and Mason Hudson, Jill (Nelson), Riley, Matthew, Debbie (Hudson) Blythe, Roy Hudson, Becky Hudson, several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Shady Grove Baptist Church on December 20, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Friends and family are invited to share memories, photographs, and condolences to celebrate Doyle's life and the quiet strength he brought to those he loved. Memorials in Doyle's name may be directed to Hunt County Shared Ministries.
