Our deepest sympathy for all of you. We had a love and respect for Barbara. She has always been a lifelong friend who shared in life itself, through the early life events and the events as when we had our children, through the love and life of Pearle and Spencer Sumrow. She and her family were great neighbors to them and friends to us. Doris was one of our baby sitters when our son was small; Sue and Doug played dominoes with us; their dad helped my father-in-law, Spencer, throughout his illnesses with removal of one of his kidneys by plowing his fields to taking him to Dallas to the doctor. Barbara’s mom, Aline, and grandmother, Ethel, came to Pearle’s and Spencer’s bringing them something good to eat or just to sit and talk. Doris and Barb would come over to visit with them too sometime while we were there. If everyone could have neighbors like they were, the world would be a much better place. Eric, Barbara’s son, worked for us some when we had a cantaloupe field; he was only 10 but he wasn’t afraid to work! He drove a small tractor with a trailer hooked to it while the cantaloupe were being loaded. We all respected this young man and Barbara entrusted us to take care of him. He was a lifesaver. We loved all of them, Barbara, Doris, Sue, Aline, Ethel, Rene’, Eric, Matthew.
Our deepest sympathy, Pam, Jim, Gregg and Molly Sumrow
