Ruth Ann Lindsey, 79, of Greenville, Texas, passed away on March 10, 2026, at the Hunt Regional Medical Center. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Dr. Tommy Mann officiating. Burial will follow at East Mount Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 18th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ruth was born July 29, 1946, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Luther and Jeanette Hartline Myers. She worked as a CNA at North McKinney Health and Rehab and was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church.
Ruth is survived by her sons, John August Patrick Johnson, Roy Dale Johnson, John John Brinkley, Jr.; daughters, Wendy Louise Wise, Sandra Lee McCarter, Mary Alice Farrow; brother, Luther LeeRoy Myers; sister, Donna Bess; grandchildren, Luther James Wise, Brandy Kay Abrams, Cortney Evans, Misty McCarter, Kara Johnson, Chris Johnson, Kyle Johnson, Nicolas Farrow, Terry Don McCarter, Justin Farrow, Bryan Farrow, Jordan Johnson, Shantell Grace and many great and great-great-grandbabies.
She is preceded in death by Ethel Johnson, Delores Fields, Doris Schultz and Jerry Johnson.
Pallbearers will be Roy Johnson, Terry Don McCarter, James Wise, Zachary Wise, Bryan Farrow and Justin Farrow. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Johnson, Terry Lynn McCarter and Chris Johnson.
