Barbara Gail Skeen

Barbara Gail Skeen, age 67, of Campbell, Texas, went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by family, on April 5, 2026. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was born on January 13, 1959, in Benton, Arkansas, to Kenneth and Jimmie Lindsey. Barbara was a graduate of Campbell High School.

Barbara will be remembered for her strong spirit, her unique sense of humor, and the way she loved in her own way. She had a wit about her that could bring laughter, even in moments when it wasn't expected, never one you wanted to be seated near during a serious event. Though life was not always perfect and paths were not always easy, Barbara's story is one of grace. We find comfort in knowing that through Christ, all things are forgiven, and she is now at peace.
As it is written in Ephesians 1:7, ''In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.''

She is survived by her daughters, Melissa Lollar (Justin) of Point, Texas; Maranda Irwin (Jason) of Commerce, Texas; and Kjerstie Busby (Jeffrey Plunkett) of Campbell, Texas; and her son, Kenneth Busby of Killeen, Texas. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Bryson Lollar, Heagan Irwin, Hudson Irwin, Hadlei Irwin, Eastin Bird, Bailea Bird, Brooklynn Icenhower, Bentley Icenhower, Braydon Busby, Benton Busby, Isla Busby, Vayday Busby, Abbygail Plunkett, Kynzlee Plunkett, and Destiny Plunkett.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Jimmie Lindsey, and her daughter, Lindsey Icenhower.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff of Hospice Plus for the compassionate and exceptional care provided to our beloved mother in her final days. We also offer a special thank you to our dear friend, Mari Plunkett, whose unwavering love, kindness, and support meant so much during this difficult time.

Barbara's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

We find comfort in knowing she is reunited with Lindsey, KK, and Nana, resting in the grace and peace of Christ.

Barbara will be laid to rest near her parents at Brigham Cemetery in Campbell, Texas. A private family ceremony will be held at a later date.
