Erin Burrus White

Erin Elizabeth Burrus White, a fiercely loyal protector, the ultimate party-starter, and the hardest worker in any room, passed away on May 31, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, determination, and boundless love. She was 53.

If you knew Erin, you knew exactly where you stood with her. Her loyalty wasn't just a trait; it was a shield she held over everyone she loved. She was the person who always thought of others first, quietly anticipating what you needed before you even knew you needed it.
Life threw its fair share of hurdles at Erin, but she didn't just clear them; she tackled them with a grit and grace that inspired everyone around her. A tireless worker, she poured her heart into everything she did, refusing to back down from a challenge.

Erin was a devoted mother who loved fiercely, a ride or die partner and sister, and an unrivaled friend, cousin, and aunt.

Of all the titles she held and all the challenges she conquered, nothing compared to her absolute greatest wish: becoming a grandmother. That dream became a beautiful reality with the birth of her grandson, Walker Paul in 2024. To say she was a proud Gigi would be an understatement; Walker was the absolute light of her life, the crowning achievement of a life already bursting with love.

Erin is survived by her son, Codie William White (Shelby), partner, James Carter, brother Bentley Burrus (Jana), sister Holly Burrus (Becky), sister Kristi Sweigart, sister Kelli Larson, and aunt Naomi Gonzales. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Ben Burrus, Ellie Burrus, Molly Money, Nick Lopez, Daniel Lopez, Ben Girard, Lynna Girard, Falon Riley, Damon White, Taylor Brooks, Kayla Houston, and Dylan White.

Erin was preceded in death by her parents, Edd and Kathleen Burrus.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time.

In honor of her joyful spirit, the family requests that donations be made to the Hope Bag Ministry or Paws for Cause in Greenville.

The family wishes to express its thanks to Family First Hospice and Coker- Mathews Funeral Home. All friends and family are encouraged to dress comfortably and/or join the boys in boots and jeans.
