Gerald Autry Norris, 89, of Cumby, Texas, passed away on May 31, 2026, in Greenville, Texas. A memorial service will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Family Fellowship with Pastor Paul Blue and nephew Jon Norris officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. until service time. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Gerald was born on January 10, 1937, in Wieland, Texas to Frank Norris and Minnie Wright. He married Shirley Bryant on September 25, 1955, at Paradise Baptist Church in Hunt County, Texas. He worked as an aircraft inspector for Raytheon, retiring after 42 years of service. He was a member of Family Fellowship.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley; sons, Paul Norris, wife Denise; Bryan Norris, wife Gracie; daughters, Karen Shelton, Janet Crawford and partner Jeff Elam. Grandchildren; Jessica Hicks, husband Jason Myers; Sheena Erwin, husband Jeffrey; Adam Norris, wife Briana; Lauren Tipton, Traci McDade, Kayla Norris, Alesha Norris, husband Sam; Jacob Norris, wife Karla; Efren Amaya, Mario Amaya and Carol Amaya. Fourteen great-grandchildren; Izzy, Trenton, Aubrey, Maddie, Kaydence, Ellie, Rozalyn, Collins, Kyle, Liam, Lincoln, Tex, Alice, and Apple; brother, Paul R. Norris, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Justin, Ed, Bill and Dale; and sisters, Frankie Kirk and Betty Woodall.

Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Adam Norris, Lauren Tipton, Traci McDade, Kayla Norris, Alesha Norris and Jacob Norris.

Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Jessica Hicks and Sheena Erwin.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Missions Program at Family Fellowship, National Kidney Foundation, or the American Diabetes Association.
