Philip Ross Baumgardner, born February 14, 1938, passed away peacefully at Legends Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Greenville on July 16, 2026. He graduated from Greenville High School in 1956 and was a high school athlete. Phil spent most of his life in woodworking and construction, with a lot of it alongside his father. He loved animals, especially his dogs, Peaches and Annie.
Phil is survived by his wife of almost 45 years, Sheryl (Wage) and several cousins. They were married in Little Rock, Arkansas on August 22, 1981.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Agnes Faye (Sullivan) and father, William Bryson Baumgardner.
