Melva "Jean" Green

Melva ''Jean'' Green, 93, of Greenville, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026 in Greenville, Texas. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at Park Street Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Ratliff officiating. Interment will be in Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.

Jean was born on July 4, 1933 in Campbell, Texas to Robert Lester White and Mary Ellen Boydston. She married Harold Lynn Green on January 19, 1951 in Hainsville, Texas. She worked as a seamstress and was a member of Park Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Sharon (George) Flournoy, Shirley White, Janet (Joseph) Gandy, Michael (Sharon) Green and Tami (Terry) Finley; brother, Gary White; thirteen grandchildren; thirty four great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2019, her parents, brother, Thurman and sisters, Bonnita, Valiree, Joyce, Donnie, and Frances Dell; great-great grandchildren, Rhett and Scarlett Flournoy; and son-in-law, Randall White.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jeremy Flournoy, Chad Flournoy, Gary Green, Marc Green, Eric Wall, Aaron Wall, Randy White, Evan Finley and Reid Finley.
