Lee Roy Long

Lee Roy Long, 92, of Greenville passed away October 29, 2012 at his residence.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with
Kenny Stone and Rev. Ron Hight officiating. Military graveside will follow at Forest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
Born January 26, 1920, in South Sulphur, Lee Roy was the son of Robert Leonard and Margaret Elizabeth (Pope) Long. On August 5, 1957 in Greenville, he married Edna Stover Griffis. He attended Kingston schools and graduated from Celeste High School in 1939 where he played football and baseball. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army. Mr. Long retired as manager of Babcock Auto Supply where he was employed for 43 years. He was a life member of Disabled American Veterans and a 50 year member of I.O.O.F. Lodge. He was also a member of Family Fellowship.
His survivors include his wife of Greenville; son-in-law Ray Robnett of Greenville; grandson Kenney Robnett and wife, Rhonda of Greenville; granddaughter Deborah Rudzik and husband, Mike of Arkansas; great-grandsons Cody and Kyle Robnett; great-granddaughters Kristina and Keri; and great-great-grandchildren Chad, Kaylei, Karyssa and Slayden.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sharon Robnett on December 26, 2010; and brothers Luther Clifton Long, Elmer Russell Long, Oscar Delbert Long, and James Robert Long.
Pallbearers will be Ray Robnett, Kenneth Robnett, Cody Robnett, Kyle Robnett, Mike Rudzik, and Ken Parker.
